Gardiner, Montana

I'm back in Yellowstone for a week, if the weather holds.

My general plan each winter is to watch the weather and, when a good week appears, come up here.

Early last week, it appeared that this week would be good. By Friday, I had decided I would do it. Saturday morning, I made the hotel reservations in the Super 8 (because it's across from the grocery store) and by 3 pm, I was on the road.

I drove half way Saturday evening and arrived here around 1:00 pm. Check-in isn't until 3:00, so I went into the park to see what I could find. Not much. Lots of bison on the roads and the only place they were apparently seeing wolves had no parking left.

I did get a picture of a bighorn ram.
